This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, how Roots and Wings Recovery Residence ("we," "us," "our") handles information when you visit this website or reach out to us. It is a summary of our practices, not legal advice.

A note on sensitive information

Recovery is personal, and we treat it that way. Roots and Wings is a sober living home, not a licensed medical or clinical treatment program, so we do not ask for medical records or a clinical history through this website. Please do not send detailed health, medical, or treatment records through our forms or email. If we ever need those details, we will set up a private, secure way to collect them, usually after we have spoken with you.

What we collect

What you send us. When you join the waitlist or contact us, we collect what you choose to share: your name, phone, email, who you are applying for, your general situation and timeline, and whether children would live with you.
Referral details. If you are a case manager or referral partner, we collect the contact and basic client information you enter on the referral form.
Basic website data. Standard, privacy-friendly information such as which pages are visited, if we use a website-analytics tool. This is not used to track you across other websites.

How we use it

To respond to you, answer your questions, and see whether Roots and Wings is a good fit.
To coordinate a possible placement, and to keep in touch about openings.
To work with referral partners on a client, with the client's involvement.
To keep the website working, secure, and better over time.

How we share it

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only:

With our own team, to help you.
With trusted service providers who help us run the site: our web forms are delivered by Formspree, the site is hosted on Cloudflare, and we use Google Analytics to measure site traffic. They process this information only to provide those services to us.
If the law requires it, or to protect the safety of the people in our home.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages help most. When you accept our cookie notice, Google Analytics places a cookie on your device for this purpose. We may also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, we do not sell your information, and we do not track you across other websites. You can decline analytics in the cookie notice when you first visit, and you can change your choice later by clearing this site's cookies in your browser.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it to help you, or as the law requires, and then we remove it. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and you can tell us to stop contacting you. If you live in California, you have the right to know, delete, and correct your information, and the right not to be treated differently for exercising those rights. Children's privacy

This website is for adults seeking recovery housing for themselves and their families. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 through the site.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us. No website or email can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, which is one more reason we ask you not to send detailed medical or highly sensitive information through the site.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version here with an updated effective date.
